JIS Fall 2026 Draws Record Attendance, Sparks Holiday Sourcing at Miami Beach Convention Center
MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (October 21, 2026) — JIS Fall 2026 welcomed over 11,000 jewelry professionals to the Miami Beach Convention Center October 16–19, marking a 12% year-over-year increase in attendance. The four-day event brought together jewelry retailers, manufacturers, designers, gem dealers and industry professionals from across the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean. Attendees used the show as a strategic opportunity to source inventory ahead of the critical holiday season, with options for immediate purchases as well as placing orders for future deliveries.
Across the expansive show floor, buyers explored a broad selection of fine and fashion jewelry, loose gemstones, diamonds, bridal collections, watches, and retail accessories. The diversity of exhibitors allowed independent store owners and large buyers alike to assemble cohesive assortments for multiple customer segments, from everyday fashion pieces to investment-grade items. Many retailers reported that seeing collections in person helped them finalize merchandising plans and refine their holiday promotions.
“JIS Fall 2026 was one of the strongest shows in the event’s history, with record-breaking attendance and incredible energy across the show floor,” said Sara McDonough, Event Director of JIS. “It brought the jewelry community together for a few exciting days of sourcing, discovery and connection. The conversations and connections made here will continue well beyond the show.”
The show’s theme, “Spark Holiday Success,” was woven into programming and floor activations designed to give attendees practical inspiration and fresh merchandising ideas. Educational demonstrations and hands-on demonstrations focused on retail-ready techniques and consumer trends. For example, a gift-wrapping demonstration offered retailers simple, elegant presentation ideas they can adopt in-store and online to enhance perceived value at point of sale. The Gem Color Forecast invited attendees to consider color trends that may influence buying decisions in the coming months, providing direction for future buying and marketing efforts.
Beyond product discovery, the event emphasized personalization and customer experience—two areas many retailers identified as drivers of holiday sales. Interactive features such as personalization stations and live demonstrations showcased how custom engraving, charm assembly and bespoke services can increase basket size and customer loyalty. Lighter touches, like the Puppies and Personalization activation, provided attendees with a memorable, stress-relieving break from the business of buying and selling while reinforcing the value of experiential retail.
Networking was a major component of the JIS experience. The opening-night Welcome Reception and the Saturday evening JIS Unwrapped gathering offered relaxed environments for buyers, exhibitors and industry partners to meet, reconnect and discuss collaboration opportunities. These social events complemented the structured show floor interactions and allowed for informal deal-making, trend conversations and long-term relationship building. Many exhibitors noted that those conversations led to immediate orders as well as plans for follow-up product development and partnership discussions.
Exhibitors reported strong traffic and a mix of orders and promising leads. The concentrated presence of store owners, chain buyers and online retailers created a marketplace where suppliers could gauge demand quickly, receive direct feedback, and adjust offerings for the seasonal rush. Attendees appreciated the ability to compare suppliers side-by-side, evaluate materials and craftsmanship up close, and negotiate terms in person—a selling point that remains critical in an industry where product quality and trust are paramount.
Educational sessions and on-floor programming addressed practical topics relevant to retailers preparing for the holiday season, including inventory planning, visual merchandising tips, and strategies for maximizing both in-store and online sales. Panels and demonstrations emphasized actionable takeaways that retailers could implement immediately, from display techniques that highlight best sellers to marketing tactics that leverage seasonal storytelling.
JIS Fall 2026 delivered a comprehensive experience that combined product discovery, trend insight, education and networking. The show served as a timely platform for retailers to refine assortments, for suppliers to showcase new collections, and for the broader jewelry community to reconnect in person. Organizers noted that the energy and outcomes observed during the four days signal strong momentum heading into the holiday season.
