The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) reinforced India’s standing as a global jewellery leader with the launch of its India Pavilion and Design Gallery at JCK Las Vegas 2026, one of the world’s foremost jewellery trade events. Marking its 21st consecutive year at the show, GJEPC presented a compelling showcase that underlines India’s shift from a traditional manufacturing base to a design-driven force in the international jewellery market.
Held from May 29 to June 1 at The Venetian Expo in Las Vegas, the 3,900-square-foot India Pavilion hosted 33 prominent Indian exporters under the “Brilliant Bharat” banner. The exhibit highlighted how India blends centuries-old craftsmanship with contemporary design innovation to meet evolving global consumer tastes.
The pavilion was inaugurated by Dr. K.J. Srinivasa, Consul General of India in Los Angeles, together with GJEPC Chairman Kirit Bhansali, International Exhibitions Convener Vijay Mangukiya, PMBD Convener Ashish Borda, BITC Convener Mital Doshi, and Executive Director Sabyasachi Ray.
Spread over two levels, the pavilion offered international buyers a curated journey through India’s jewellery capabilities. The ground level focused on natural diamonds, studded jewellery, and plain gold pieces, reflecting India’s deep heritage in precious metals and gemstone craftsmanship. The upper level showcased premium natural diamond collections and high-end couture jewellery designed for contemporary global preferences.
A standout feature was the India Design Gallery, presented under the theme “Quantum Couture.” Curated by noted trend forecaster Paola De Luca, the gallery displayed exclusive, one-off creations inspired by India’s artistic traditions. Through three distinct narratives—Embroidery, Micro Painting, and Poetic Layers—the exhibit reimagined traditional Indian techniques into forward-looking jewellery concepts.
GJEPC Chairman Kirit Bhansali said the council’s sustained participation at JCK Las Vegas signals growing international recognition of India’s jewellery sector. He emphasized that the pavilion served not just as a product showcase but as proof of India’s emergence as a design-led manufacturing destination capable of delivering innovation, high quality, and market relevance while safeguarding artisanal heritage.
Bhansali also highlighted the India Design Gallery’s role in demonstrating the creative evolution within India’s jewellery industry. Featuring award-winning pieces from the Artisan Jewellery Design Awards 2026, the gallery reinforced India’s expanding reputation as a hub for design excellence and inventive jewellery solutions.
Addressing GJEPC’s recent membership in the Natural Diamond Council (NDC), Bhansali described the collaboration as strategic for boosting consumer confidence in natural diamonds. He said the partnership will support category promotion, raise consumer awareness, and strengthen storytelling efforts to ensure natural diamonds remain desirable among newer generations of buyers.
By participating at JCK Las Vegas 2026, GJEPC not only showcased India’s manufacturing strengths but also projected the country’s growing influence as a source of innovative design, refined craftsmanship, and luxury jewellery expertise on the global stage.
