Italian precious metals refiner Italpreziosi S.p.A. has been added to the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) Good Delivery List for silver, with the approval effective from May 20, 2026.
This recognition is a significant milestone for the Arezzo-based refinery and reinforces its standing in the international bullion and precious metals market.
LBMA Approval Follows Rigorous Assessment
The LBMA confirmed that Italpreziosi met its rigorous criteria, which examine a company’s operational track record, production capacity, ownership structure and financial health.
As part of the approval process, the refinery’s silver bars underwent comprehensive technical testing under LBMA protocols. These tests included independent assays and verification, plus reviews of the refinery’s internal assaying procedures and quality-control systems.
Expanding Presence in Global Precious Metals Market
Italpreziosi was already listed on the LBMA Good Delivery List for gold and is well established for refining and processing precious metal-bearing materials for international clients.
The company produces silver bars that meet internationally recognised bullion standards and supplies them to customers in the jewellery, investment and industrial sectors.
Focus on Responsible and Sustainable Operations
In 2024, Italpreziosi became a Certified B Corporation™, joining a global community of companies recognised for commitments to environmental responsibility, transparency and social performance.
The refinery emphasizes responsible sourcing policies, compliance frameworks and environmental, health and safety practices aligned with the LBMA Responsible Sourcing Programme. It also uses governance and traceability systems to enhance accountability across its supply chain.
LBMA Continues Oversight of Global Bullion Standards
The London Bullion Market Association maintains the internationally recognised Good Delivery List, which identifies refiners whose gold and silver bars meet the standards required for trading in the London bullion market.
At present, the list includes 66 approved gold refiners and 84 approved silver refiners worldwide.
As the leading trade association for the global wholesale over-the-counter bullion market, the LBMA plays a central role in upholding refining standards, promoting responsible sourcing and coordinating with regulators and industry participants across the precious metals sector.
