Oura Health, the maker of the popular Oura Ring smart wearable, has confidentially filed for an initial public offering in the United States, reflecting renewed confidence in the recovering IPO market.
The filing arrives as investor interest in new stock listings strengthens despite ongoing geopolitical and economic uncertainties. Market activity in the U.S. has picked up in recent months, encouraging a number of high-growth technology and health-focused companies to consider public offerings.
Smart Ring Brand Expands Global Presence
Founded in Finland more than a decade ago, Oura has grown into a leading name in wearable wellness technology. Its flagship product, the Oura Ring, monitors sleep, activity, recovery and other wellness metrics, delivering personalized health insights to users.
The company reports that the device is now available at more than 4,600 retail locations worldwide. According to its own figures, over 5.5 million Oura Rings have been sold globally to date.
While the ring is focused on wellness monitoring, Oura emphasizes that it is not marketed as a medical device.
IPO Market Rebound Supports New Listings
Oura’s move toward a public listing follows renewed momentum in the U.S. IPO market. Investor appetite for technology and health-oriented businesses has improved after a temporary slowdown earlier in the year.
Analysts note that companies with recurring revenue models and demonstrable growth prospects are drawing increasing interest from institutional investors.
Lukas Muehlbauer observed that recent health-tech IPO activity indicates investors are rediscovering businesses with scalable subscription revenues and clearer paths to profitability.
Strong Growth and Strategic Partnerships
Oura has reportedly quadrupled total revenue over the past two fiscal years while reinvesting in expanding operations and strengthening its product ecosystem.
The company has built partnerships across healthcare, sports, retail and enterprise sectors, diversifying growth channels and reinforcing its position in the wearable market.
Earlier this year, Team USA and the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games named Oura as the official wearable partner for athletes focused on performance, recovery and wellness monitoring.
Offering Details Yet to Be Finalized
Oura Health has not disclosed the number of shares to be offered or the expected price range for the IPO. The company was last valued at roughly $11 billion in a funding round completed in October.
